ATC issues black warrants for two convicts
FAISALABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday issued black warrants for two condemned prisoners in Lahore, ARY News reported.
According to the details, the convicts had killed eight people in 2001 during a religious gathering in Sheikhupura on sectarian basis.
Later, the police apprehended them and initiated legal proceedings. When the hearing of the case concluded, the court ordered to hang the suspects 11 time each.
After the verdict, the suspect had filed mercy plea, but it was rejected. The ATC ordered the jail authorities to hang the convicts on April 16 at central jail Sahiwal.

Earlier, an anti-terrorism court, on March 17, had awarded death sentence to a murder convict who had been arrested by Rangers five years ago.
The convict had been awarded death sentence in the light of evidences furnished by Rangers. Sohail Ahmed Siddiqui belonged to terror outfit al-Qaeda, and he had also killed two foreigners.
He had been also awarded sentence for a bomb blast and his family had been directed to pay Rs 200,000. Siddiqui had been also given seven-year sentence for possessing illicit weapons.
