OGRA proposes Rs14.37 per litre hike in petrol price from May 1
ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Monday proposed 14.37 rupees per litre hike in petrol price from May 1, ARY News reported.
The OGRA has proposed raising Rs4.85 per litre on diesel, said sources. The sources said the oil regulatory authority proposed to increase price of kerosene oil by Rs7.46 per litre.
It recommended increase in price of light diesel oil by Rs6.40 per litre.
The OGRA has submitted a summary in this regard to the government.
On March 31, the federal government had announced to raise petrol price by six rupees a litre.

Prices of petrol and high speed diesel had been increased by Rs6 a litre each. While, prices of kerosene oil and light diesel had been hiked by Rs3 a litre each.
The new petrol price have become Rs98.89 a litre and high speed diesel price have become Rs117.43 a litre.
Similarly, light diesel oil price and kerosene oil price have become Rs80.54 and Rs89.31 per litre respectively.
On March 29, the OGRA had prepared a summary for another increase in rates of petroleum products up to Rs11 a litre from the month of April.
The regulatory authority had suggested the federal government for making an increase of Rs11.91 per litre in petrol rates from April 1.
