Young pacer Husnain feels difficult bowling in English conditions

Pakistan’s young pace sensation Mohammad Husnain rated the English conditions difficult to bowl but with the help of coaching staff, he is trying to adjust in the situation.

“It is cold here and I faced difficulties in the start to bowl but later on things settled down and I enjoyed bowling,” said Husnain in a video message from England.

The 19-years-old pacer said that the team’s bowling coach Azhar Mahmood is working hard with the bowlers and trying to get rid of weaknesses.

“As this is the first time for me in England so Azhar Bhai keeps on guiding me which indeed is helping me a lot,” he said.

Talking about pace, Husnain said that this was one of the major factors which earned him a place in the national side for the upcoming World Cup. “I know my pace can distract oppositions and I am working to increase it,” said Husnain who is optimistic to take wickets against England in their upcoming ODI series against England.

Husnain, who bagged a wicket conceding 30 runs in seven overs against Northamptonshire, is keen to improve his fitness as the entire team management is focusing on this department.

“The coaching staff is keeping a close eye on players’ fitness and there is no free hand,” he concluded.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan clinched two of three Tour one-day games against Kent and Northamptonshire respectively. The squad will play England in five-match ODI series starting from May 8.
