‘How long will you defend lies, loot’: Firdous asks PPP, PML-N spokespersons

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the PM on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech at Wednesday’s ceremony to mark the 23rd Foundation Day of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf weighed on spokespersons for opposition parties.

“Kaptaan’s [PM Imran] truth troubled them a lot,” she said in a statement on her twitter handle.

She questioned how long will the spokespersons wearing chains of their posts will continue defending lies and plunder and oppose the truth.

Addressing the 23rd Foundation Day of the party at Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad, PM Imran had asked his political workers to be ready as “corrupts” had united in the name of democracy and wanted to topple the PTI government to conceal the looted money and to escaped from the ongoing accountability process.

Reiterating his resolve to uproot corruption, he said that purpose behind hue and cry in the assembly was to get national reconciliation ordinance (NRO).
