PM Imran Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated Pakistan cricket team on their victory against the tournament’s top team New Zealand by six wicket on Wednesday.

He praised the team for a great comeback, especially Babar Azam, Haris Sohail and Shaheen Afridi for their brilliant performance in the match.

“Congratulations to our cricket team for a great comeback. Congratulations especially go to Babar, Haris and Shaheen for their brilliant performances,” said former World Cup winning captain and PM of Pakistan.

New Zealand lost the game by six wickets to a resurgent Pakistan, on the back of a brilliant unbeaten 101 by Babar Azam and three wickets from teenage paceman Shaheen Shah Afridi. Haris Sohail also made significant contribution with the bat and scored 68 runs.

Pakistan will now face Afghanistan on Saturday, June 29 at Headingley Carnegie.
