Mohammad Amir announces retirement from Test cricket

Pakistan’s ace fast bowler Mohammad Amir has decided to quit Test cricket, Pakistan Cricket Board announce via a press release on Friday.

However, Amir, who has represented Pakistan in 36 Test matches, will continue to play for Pakistan in coloured kit.

“It has been an honour to represent Pakistan in the pinnacle and traditional format of the game. I, however, have decided to move away from the longer version so I can concentrate on white ball cricket,” said Amir.
