Jahid, Imad lead Sindh to a win in National T20 2nd XI tournament opener

Openers Jahid Ali and Imad Alam partnered for 103 runs to help Sindh beat Central Punjab by nine wickets in the second match of the opening day of National T20 2nd XI tournament at National Stadium Karachi.
Jahid smashed 70 runs off 49 balls while Imad scored 69 runs after Sindh were set to chase 167 runs in 20 overs.
While batting first, Central Punjab managed to score 166-3 in respective overs. Mohammad Ikhlaq was the highest run-scorer with 47 runs which includes three fours and as many sixes. Usman Salahuddin made 41 runs.
Mohammad Sami and Hassan Khan bagged a wicket each.
In reply, Sindh reached the target in 17.3 overs with the heroics of Jahid and Imad. Raja Ali Dar was the only wicket-taker from Central Punjab.
On the other hand, Baluchistan beat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a super over contest after a close match.
Baluchistan scored 178 runs while batting first. Gulraiz Sadaf smoked 75 runs off 58 balls while Akbar ur Rehman scored 70 runs. Sameen Gul took two wickets for KP.
In reply, KP fought hard as their batsmen fired across all parts of the ground but Ibtisam Sheikh defended seven runs in last over to end the match in a draw.
Aitazaz Habib Khan scored 70 runs while Nabil Gul made 38 runs. Taj Wali and Ibtisam shared two wickets apiece for Baluchistan.
Northern Punjab will take on Norther and Sindh will play Baluchistan on day two of the tournament on Monday.
