Naseem Shah inclusion in U-19 World Cup to be decide today
Pakistan emerging fast-bowler Naseem Shah inclusion in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa will be decided today.
According to sources, the National team management and the selection committee have advised the 16-year-old not to play in the U-19 World Cup. However, he has been called by the junior team management for the camp resuming from tomorrow to participate in the upcoming competition.
Senior team management wants to prevent Naseem from the fitness issues in order to stay fit for the Bangladesh series but the Junior team management supports him to play the competition as he is important for the side.
On this issue, the National team management and junior selection committee will consult today.
Earlier Head coach junior team Ijaz Ahmed said that he wants Naseem to be the part of the team and has also requested head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq to release him if Bangladesh Test series is not happening.
