BCB president happy with security arrangements in Pakistan
Dhaka: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan is satisfied with the security arrangements given by Pakistan on the Bangladesh team visit for the T20I series in Lahore.
Nazmul said he does not see any reason why the Test team would not travel as they are scheduled to come again for the second phase to play one Test in Rawalpindi.
“We were confused initially with the security arrangements but after touring for the T20Is, we are satisfied and this is the best possible security they have given. We are going to play Test in Pakistan,” Nazmul said while interacting with the reporters in Dhaka.
The BCB president also looked disappointment over the batting approach of the batsmen in the T20I series which they lost 2-0.
“We played a bad brand of cricket and the performances by the batsmen were below par in both the matches. The approach was defensive after the start we got by the opening pair,” he added.
Bangladesh will arrive in Pakistan on February 5 to play one Test from 7-11. Tigers lost to Pakistan in the T20I series as they dominated the first two matches of the series.
In the first match, green shirts defeated the visitors by five wickets courtesy Shoaib Malik 58* of 45 balls.
In the second T20I, bowlers restricted Bangladesh to 136. The 25-year-old Babar 66* and Mohammad Hafeez 67* successfully helped Pakistan to defeated Bangladesh by nine wickets.
