Former Indian player picks Shahid Afridi as ‘best T20I all-rounder of 2010s’

Former Indian batsman Aakash Chopra has picked former Pakistan captain and Boom Boom Shahid Afridi as the best all-rounder of the last decade (2010s).

As everyone is sharing their best players and teams of the last decade, the commentator decided to share his best T20 picks on twitter. Indian captain Virat Kohli as the best batsman, Sri Lankan veteran pacer Lasith Malinga as the best bowler and England wicket-keeper batsman Joss Buttler as the best wicket-keeper.

Aakash was questioned by a fan on why he picked Afridi as the best all-rounder. He tweeted, “Explain to us why u choose afridi….for impressing Pakistani fans?”

Aakash was sure of his pick and asked the fan to go and watch his numbers, “You obviously didn’t have a look at his T20 International record in the 2010s. The decade. Do yourself a favor and check. Thank me later,”

Shahid Afridi’s last decade T20 record were staggering. He played 73 T20I matches and scored 949 runs at a strike rate of 151.59 with one half-century. He also claimed 61 wickets at an economy of 6.96 with the best bowling figures of 4/14.

Former skipper still plays T20 leagues all over the world and will also be participating in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).
