Lahore: Fans all over Pakistan for the first time in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history will enjoy the action in the country’s national language.
On Saturday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in an official press release announced that the local commentators will call the action in Urdu for five overs in every innings, which will be carried on local feeds.
Renowned commentator and former Pakistan skipper Ramiz Raja, Waqar Younis, former batsman Bazid Khan, and former Pakistan women’s team skipper will be seen commentating in Urdu.
PCB wants followers and fans to enjoy the coverage, allowing fans to get closer to the event and the game.
New camera setup will show interactions between players and commentators during the two eliminators and the final in Lahore, giving fans a taste of on-field action too.
PCB announced the 16-member panel which includes international commentators and presenters.
It must be noted that foreign stars have started to arrive in Pakistan for the PSL fifth edition starting from February 20 in Karachi.
