Karachi Kings aim consistency against Peshawar Zalmi
Karachi Kings, the most followed franchise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is aiming to repeat a great show against Peshawar Zalmi in today’s fixture of PSL season five.
Kings, who defeated Islamabad United yesterday by five wickets courtesy ‘Halestorm’ by Alex Hales are up for the back to back challenge in Rawalpindi.
Hales smashed 30-ball 52 which included three fours and as many sixes. Not just him Sharjeel Khan, Cameron Delport and Imad Wasim also hammered the bowlers chasing a target of 184 comfortably.
Both the teams have faced each other previously and Zalmi got beaten by the Kings by 10 runs in the thrilling encounter in Karachi.
Zalmi will also look to take revenge from the Kings, however, they are struggling with the ball this year despite having the likes of experienced Wahab Riaz and Hasan Ali.
Kings will be hoping the same power from the batsmen along with their best batter Babar Azam who unfortunately got run-out in the last game without facing a ball.
In the bowling department, Mohammad Amir, Umaid Asif, and Chris Jordan will be important for Kings, however, Umer Khan will again hold importance in the middle overs along with skipper Imad.
Zalmi batting department led by Kamran Akmal has been out of touch in the last two games but emerging Haider Ali put a great show on both occasions. Lewis Gregory’s inclusion in the side has also added value as he gave a performance in both departments against Lahore Qalandars.
The Pindi cricket stadium are up for the great show again. The match will begin at 7.00 pm.
