Misbah thinks to use Shadab Khan as ‘Floater’ in white-ball cricket
Lahore: Pakistan head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq thinks that the all-rounder Shadab Khan’s batting can be used as a “floater” in the middle-order in white-ball cricket.
Shadab had a great Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five with the bat as a captain for Islamabad United, scoring 263 runs at a strike rate of 159 which included three-half centuries but had some bad outings with the ball, his main skill.
“I think we need a floater in between somewhere to connect a link between the top order and late middle order. He (Shadab) needs to bring improvement and consistency in bowling,” Misbah said yesterday in a video conference with the reporters.

“But still he had some good outings with the ball, pitches were batting-friendly and boundaries were short in Rawalpindi where we played most of our matches,” he added.
“Overall, leg-spinners with the ability to bat is a plus point as he can field, bowl, bat and can be used anywhere according to the situation of the game.” he maintained.
It must be noted that Misbah was the coach of Islamabad United where they finished last on the points table in PSL 5.
