Akhtar stands firm on his comments, thanks Younis for support
Karachi: Former pacer Shoaib Akhar has taken a firm stance on his comments on the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) legal advisor Taffazul Rizvi.
The 44-year-old confirmed that he has received the notice which he termed as lies and fabrications and is ready to send a befitting reply through lawyers.
“I’ve received a notice from Tafazzul Rizvi which is based on lies & fabrications. I’ve engaged Mr. Salman Khan Niazi as my lawyer to send befitting legal reply on my behalf to said notice. I stand by my words regarding the incompetence & unsatisfactory performance of Mr. Rizvi,” he tweeted.

Akhtar also thanked former captain Younis Khan for supporting his claims. “Thank you, Younis Khan, for further substantiating my claim,” he replied.

It must be noted that Shoaib after Umar Akmal’s ban, criticized PCB legal department and legal advisor. He also called PCB’s legal advisor Taffazul Rizvi as an inept person.
Mr. Rizvi filed a Rs100 million defamation suit against former pacer and wants him to retract from his statements, in the same manner, he made in the first place and make an unconditional apology that he misstated.
“Pay Rs.10 crore for defaming me and leveling false allegations against me, which will be donated to the Medical center of Lahore High Court Bar Association,” he said.
