Watch: Pakistan’s sports stars extend support to men’s cricket for series against England
Lahore: Pakistan’s greatest, respected and emerging sports personalities extended their support to their men’s national cricket team by wishing them for series against England, which starts at Old Trafford from August 5.
In the 24th edition of the PCB Podcast, Squash legend Jahangir Khan, Hockey Olympian Shahbaz Ahmed Snr, Tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq, snooker champion Mohammad Asif, men’s football team captain Saddam Hussain and other acclaimed sportspersons expressed their support behind Azhar Ali’s side.
“I can imagine how difficult it must have been to prepare and remain focused during the Covid-19 pandemic. England series has always been tough but, I am sure the team will play with a fighting spirit and return favorable results,” 10-time British Open and six-time World Open squash champion Jahangir said.

Pakistan cricket has a huge fan following in the world and in the current scenario, when the masses are staying at home, the resumption of sports activities will provide great entertainment to the people,” 1992 Olympic bronze medalist and 1994 World Cup winner Shahbaz Snr said.
