Shoaib Akhtar wants Pakistan to play aggressive cricket against England

Karachi: Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar wants the Pakistan cricket team to play aggressively in the upcoming three-match Test series against England.

The 45-year-old thinks that the men’s team have all the resources to beat England and termed Pakistan bowling as “superb”.

“Pakistan have all the weaponry to make them win by going with an aggressive mindset. Hopefully, the team will show aggression if the situation demands to play defensive,” Akhtar said.

“Pakistan bowling is great, having the likes of Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi. Pakistan is a very good side and will be more competitive than the West Indies,” he added.

He concluded by urging players to play hard, have fun on the field and come out as a winner.

It must be noted that the first Test is scheduled to start from August 5 in Manchester. The remaining two Tests will be played in Southampton. After the Test series, green shirts will lock horns with the home side in three T20Is.
