Hafeez expresses sadness over Irfan Jr’s decision of not playing domestic season
Karachi: Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has expressed his sadness over Mohammad Irfan Jr’s decision not to play the upcoming domestic season after being dismissed from the First XI squad.
The 25-year-old was ignored from the Southern Punjab’s First XI squad despite performing up to the mark in last season and offered a place in the Second XI squad which he declined.
Former captain Hafeez is hopeful that the pacer will reconsider his decision and will come to the field and showcase his talent.

It must be noted that Irfan Jr has decided not to play any form of cricket and has aimed to do some other work in the field of sports.
Irfan has so far played 33 T20s and bagged 43 wickets at an average of 22.04. He also played in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and represented Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, and Quetta Gladiators.
Remember, earlier Salman Butt also questioned the selection policy for the upcoming National T20 Cup after being demoted to the Second XI squad. Butt had already refused to take part in the T20 event, scheduled to start from September 30 in Multan.
