Tabish, Fawad star as Sindh beat KP in Second XI tournament
Lahore: Tabish Khan’s four wickets and Fawad Alam’s three wickets helped Sindh to beat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by four wickets to claim their second win of the National T20 Second XI tournament.
Fawad Alam led Sindh decided to bowl first after winning the toss. They restricted KP to 125/8 in 20 overs. Tabish bagged four wickets and gave 25 runs in his quota of four overs while Fawad bowled economical spell and only conceded 16 runs in his quota of four overs. Mohammad Sarwar Afridi scored 43 whereas Sajid Khan made 25 for KP.
Sindh were set to chase 126 in 20 overs. Ammad Alam provided them a flying start while Omaid Bin Yousuf (5) departed early in the piece. Ammad made 26 off 17 balls.
For Sindh, Mohammad Suleman made 27 and Hasan Mohsin score 19*, cruising them to win in the last over.
On the points table, KP, Central Punjab, and Sindh all have played three and won two. Central Punjab is at fourth with two points while Balochistan and Northern are yet to win a match.
