‘A new beginning’ Sami Aslam quits Pakistan cricket
Karachi: The 24-year-old opening batsman Sami Aslam has left Pakistan Cricket and has decided to move United States of America (USA) permanently.
Test cricketer took to social platforms and confirmed that he has landed in San Francisco, California and is ready for ‘a new beginning’.

Sami’s decision came after being ignored by the national team selectors for tour of New Zealand and made himself unavailable for the fourth round of the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2020-21.

Meanwhile, he will have to play domestic cricket in the USA for three years before he becomes eligible to represent their national cricket team.
Sami represented Pakistan in 13 Tests and scored 758 runs at an average of 31.58 with seven half-centuries.
His last appearance for Pakistan came in a Test match against Sri Lanka back in 2017. He was dropped from the national team without getting any game on England tour in 2018.
