Watch: Naseem, Abbas hilarious chat caught on stump mic

Christchurch: A hilarious conversation between tail-enders Mohammad Abbas and Naseem Shah that was caught on the stump mic during the second Test match against New Zealand has been making rounds on social media.

The funny chat has gone viral after the two players were at the crease with Pakistan at 293/9 in 82 overs.

The chat took place between the overs where the 17-year-old Naseem Shah reminded Mohammad Abbas that he has the responsibility to score runs and instructed his veteran pro to take a single otherwise it will be costly for both of us at the change room.

“Abbas bhai aapko pata hai sari zimmedaari mere upar hai, single karna hai varna daant pad jaayegi,” Abbas has a joyful laugh after hearing this.

Note, Pakistan were bowled out for 297 in their first innings at Stumps on Day one of the second Test.

Senior batter Azhar Ali led the way with his 93-run knock while the skipper Mohammad Rizwan made 61. All-rounder Faheem Ashraf and debutant Zafar Gohar made important contribution, scoring 48 and 34 respectively.

Blackcaps’ emerging sensation Kyle Jamieson took a five-wicket haul while veteran Tim Southee and Trent Boult picked two each.
