Kings restrict Sultans to 195-6 despite a quick start

KARACHI: Mohammad Rizwan and James Vince partnered strongly to lay down a solid foundation for Multan Sultans to put up a good total on the scoreboard.

But, Karachi Kings’ bowlers hold Sultans’ batsmen and restricted them to 195-6 in 20 overs.

Sent into bat first, Sultans were off to a 53-runs opening partnership with Chris Lynn smashing 32 runs off just 14 balls with the help of six boundaries and a six.

Rizwan then partnered with James Vince to score 70 runs together as Multans were 123-1 in 11.1 overs. Rizwan made 43 runs off 32 balls with the help of five boundaries whereas Vince scored the highest 45 runs for Sultans.

In the end, Sohaib Maqsood supported Sultans’ inning and struck two boundaries and a six to remain not out for 34 runs.

For Kings, Arshad Iqbal bagged two wickets while Daniel Christian, Waqas Maqsood, Mohammad Amir, and Imad Wasim shared a wicket apiece.
