Watch: Abbas appreciates PCB on organizing NHPC camp

Lahore: Medium-pacer Mohammad Abbas has praised Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for organizing the National High Performance Centre (NHPC) camp to indulge players in the off-season.

The 30-year-old Abbas while talking in a video released by PCB, stated that off-season training gives players an opportunity to overcome their shortcomings.

“It’s a good initiative by the PCB to invite the players for a camp at NHPC. This step will give players the opportunity to do tuning and strength training in the off-season,” Abbas said.

“I want to improve my strengths, fitness and work on the flaws in my bowling during the camp,” he added.

Abbas thinks that the players have a great opportunity to showcase their talent in front of the management.

“They are good players, who have performed well in domestic cricket, and now have the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the management. I will try to pass on my experience as much I can,” he added.

Abbas concluded by hailing the fact that Pakistan is a land of pacers and continues to produce good bowlers every season.

It must be noted that 25 cricketers are currently participating in a one-month-long camp at the NHPC in Lahore.
