South Africa fined for maintaining slow-over rate in first Pakistan ODI

Centurion: South Africa men’s cricket team have been fined 20% of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate against Pakistan in the first ODI.

The Match Referee imposed the sanction after Proteas were one over short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration on Friday.

Remember, Pakistan won the first ODI of the three-match series by three wickets at SuperSport Park, Centurion. The second ODI is about to start after Green Shirts’ skipper Babar Azam has won the toss and opted to bowl first at Wanderers, Johannesburg.
