PSL 6: Franchises’ departure for Abu Dhabi once again delayed

Karachi: Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises once again had to wait after the departure for Abu Dhabi was once again delayed.

Teams had to leave for Abu Dhabi at 1 pm, however, they will now depart at 5 pm. Meanwhile, a meeting with franchises took place and they were told about the recent developments

“PCB updated franchises on the unanticipated delays in grant of landing permissions for chartered flights from India and South Africa.”

It must be noted that visa issues also delayed the arrival as the teams had to leave from Lahore and Karachi respectively yesterday. A total of 360 passengers are scheduled to depart for Abu Dhabi via PK6207 and PK6203.

Update:

Currently, 25 people in hotels of Lahore and Karachi have not yet received visas. All of them will stay in the biosecure bubble.

Upon issuance of visas, they will fly to Abu Dhabi via separate chartered flight.
