Ramiz Raja hopeful of Shahnawaz Dahani’s debut in second Zimbabwe Test
Karachi: Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja is expecting that new players will be awarded chances in the second Test against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club.
Pakistan defeated the hosts in the first Test by an innings and 16 runs. The 58-year-old Ramiz is hopeful of pacer Shahnawaz Dahani’s inclusion.
“New players should be given an opportunity. I’m hopeful that we get to see [Shahnawaz] Dahani in the second Test match and one or two other changes in the batting and bowling department,” Ramiz said on his YouTube channel
“This is going to be a one-sided series and Pakistan should finish the next match inside three or four days as well,” he added.

Ramiz believes that the wins against low-ranked sides in Test cricket will also be beneficial for Pakistan.
“Pakistan is considered a medium-range team in Test cricket and winning matches, even if it’s against Zimbabwe, will give them confidence and the right headlines will be put up,” he added.
Meanwhile, Ramiz praised pacer Hasan Ali and batter Fawad Alam for their splendid performances.
“Pitch was not that much responsive for fast bowlers but still Hasan Ali bowled well and continued his form. Same with Fawad Alam, who is making opportunities count and had a great Test match,” he maintained.
