Aisam, his partner off to a winning start in Wimbledon
LONDON: Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq and his Austrian partner Oliver Marach kicked off Wimbledon 2021 campaign on a winning note.
The duo beat Belgian partners Joran Vliegen and Sander Gille by 6-4, 6-4 in their Round 1 game on Thursday.
Taking to Twitter, Aisam shared the news of winning his first men’s double contest in Wimbledon. “Alhamdulillah winning start at this year’s Wimbledon. A solid performance against the 13th seeds with partner Oliver Marach,” he wrote.

Tomorrow, Aisam will partner with Nadiia Kichenok of Ukraine in the Round 1 Mixed Doubles contest against the duo of Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (Russia) and Alexander Bublik (Kazakhstan).
