Dale Steyn announces retirement from all forms of cricket
Cape Town: South Africa’s legendary pacer Dale Steyn has announced retirement from all formats of the game, he announced on Twitter.
The 38-year-old pacer wrote a heartfelt note and thanked everyone in his incredible journey for the game he loves the most.

“It’s been 20 years of training, matches, travel, wins, losses, strapped fast, jet lag, joy and brotherhood. There are too many memories to tell. Too many faces to thank,” he wrote.
“Today I officially retire from the game I love the most. Bittersweet but grateful,” he added.
In August 2019, he announced farewell to Test cricket and decided to play white-ball cricket only. He last played for South Africa in T20 international against South Africa at Johannesburg on February 21, 2020.
Steyn played 93 Tests, 125 ODIs and 47 T20Is for the Proteas from 2004-2020, taking 699 wickets.
He was also part of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2020 and 2021, representing Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators respectively.
