Memon Super League season five to start from Sept 13 in Karachi
Karachi: Memon Super League (MSL) season five is starting from September 13 in Karachi. The trophy of the mega event was unveiled at the colorful opening ceremony yesterday.
Eight teams are participating in Memon Super League. The defending champions of the league are the Downtown Strikers.
The opening ceremony was attended by prominent cricketers, including former cricketers, and consulates of various countries. Addressing the inaugural function, former national team captain Shahid Afridi said that the Memon community could play a key role in promoting cricket in Karachi. Fortunately, this community is bringing out talented cricketers.
Last season, Sameer Ahmadani was the top wicket-taker with 35 wickets. The mega event matches will be played at Moin Khan Academy and TMC Ground Gulberg. The final of the event is scheduled at the end of November.
It’s a league-based tournament and first team on the points table with most wins will qualify directly into the finals.
