ACB wishes postponed Pakistan series to be held in Afghanistan
Kabul: Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has wished to organize the postponed ODI series against Pakistan in their own country.
The ODI series between Pakistan and Afghanistan was postponed after ACB faced logistical issues in sending the team to Hambantota, Sri Lanka – where the series was scheduled to be held from September 3.
According to details, ACB president Azizullah Fazli will visit Pakistan next week and meet PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja.
Meanwhile, Azizullah once again reiterated that the Taliban are not against cricket and support it. He backed the team and hoped that Afghanistan will perform well in the T20 World Cup.
It must be noted that the Afghan Taliban fired Hamid Shinwari, the executive director of the cricket board, and appointed Naseebullah Haqqani in place of him.
He posted on his Facebook page that he had been fired by Anas Haqqani, younger brother of the new Taliban interior minister Sirajuddin Haqqani.
ACB also announced his appointment on their social platforms.
