Inam Butt wins gold medal in Beach Wrestling World Series
Italy: Pakistan’s Inam Butt has won a gold medal in the Beach Wrestling World series here on Saturday.
Gujranwala-born Inam defeated Ukrainian wrestler Oleksii Yakovchuk by 3-0 in the 90 KG category. Earlier today, he beat Turkey’s Omer Faruk Karadeniz and Romania’s Mihai Nicolae Palaghia in quarter-final and semi-final respectively.
Yesterday, he won back-to-back matches for qualifying into the quarter-finals. In the first match, he knocked out Ukraine’s wrestler while Greece’s Georgios Tsaknakis in second.
