IPC Ministry asks POA president Arif Hasan, his team to step down

Islamabad: National Assembly Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) has recommended Arif Hassan, President, Pakistan Olympics Association (POA) and his entire team to withdraw immediately.

The Standing Committee meeting took place on September 20 where numerous decisions were taken. Arif Hasan and his team were asked to step down because of his poor performance and controversial election.

Further, the committee recommended to make changes for the betterment or sports at the earliest.

The Committee also recommended that all Sports Federations must be held accountable for all types of foreign and local funding.

The Committee also recommended that 2 acres of land in every village should be earmarked for the purpose of the sports in all districts of the country.
