Sarfaraz remains unbeaten as Sindh set Balochistan to chase 176

RAWALPINDI: Sarfaraz Ahmed remained not out for 41 runs as Sindh posted 175-4 in 20 overs against Balochistan in the ninth match of the National T20 Cup here at Pindi Stadium.

After winning the toss, Sarfraz decided to bat first which looked like a solid surface to set the total around 170-180. Starting with openers Sharjeel Khan and Shan Masood, Sindh scored 52 runs in the powerplay.

Sharjeel scored 34 runs off 20 balls before falling to Umaid Asif whereas Shan Masood remained unlucky and got run out after scoring 31 off 30 including three boundaries and a six.

Khurram Manzoor fell before Shan as he managed to score just 10 runs. The arrival of in-form Sindh’s skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed at the crease stabilized his team’s score. He alongside Saud Shakeel (32) scored 55 runs. Saud’s inning included four boundaries and solid support to his skipper.

Anwar Ali contributed 22 runs with the help of two boundaries and a six. Sarfraz finished the inning with a six off the last ball, taking his score to 41 off 25 balls laced with three boundaries and only six.

Khurram Shehzad, Amad Butt, and Umaid bagged a wicket each for Balochistan.
