Talha, Shehroz duped by fraudsters on pretext of car

KARACHI: Olympian Talha Talib and Mountaineer Shehroze Kashif were duped by a fraudster on the pretext of car which was said to be a gift for them for their performance at the international level recently. 

According to the details shared by both the victims, a man named Rajab duped them after introducing himself as Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar’s Personal Assistant (PA). 

Both the victims filed an FIR against the unknown number which went switched off after the said money was transferred into the given accounts. The application read that both Talha and Shehroz were asked to pay Rs 3,25,500/- firstly for delivery of Toyota Grande which was said to be their gift. Later on, they were asked to pay Rs 35,000/- via Jazz cash.

The athletes are now looking forward to getting justice against the fraudster. Police have held an inquiry against the matter.

It must be noted here that Talha hoisted Pakistan’s flag in Tokyo Olympics 2020 by finishing fifth in the weightlifting event of the extravaganza. Shehroze became the youngest Pakistani mountaineer to climb the world’s highest peak Mount of Everest.
