Vaughan takes a dig at IPL after a player tested COVID-19 positive

KARACHI: Cricketer-turned-commentator Michael Vaughan criticized Indian Premier League (IPL) once again after no panic was seen despite a player got tested COVID-19 positive in the bio-secure bubble.

Sun Risers Hyderabad’s T Natarajan was tested COVID-19 positive during the remaining IPL 2021 which is currently being played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Taking to Twitter, Vaughan highly criticized IPL as he believes it has taken over the cricket world with money.

“Let’s see if the IPL gets canceled like the last Test !!!!! I guarantee it won’t be,” the former English cricketer wrote.

Earlier, Vaughan blamed IPL for the cancelation of last India vs England Test at Edgbaston after COVID-19 hit the Indian camp. He believed that the last Test could happen but India wanted players to be on time for the remaining IPL in the UAE.
