Shadab caught Hepatitis C virus from dental instruments

Shadab caught Hepatitis C virus from dental instruments

Pakistan’s young leg-spinner, Shadab Khan caught the Hepatitis C virus from dental instruments, revealed sources close to the cricketer.

Just ahead of Pakistan’s tour to England, PCB announced that a recent blood test of Shadab Khan, conducted by the board, has found Hepatitis C virus and he will miss the ODI series against England.

However, the chief selector, Inzamam Ul Haq believed that he will gain complete fitness ahead of the mega cricketing event. His doctor in England suggested after reviewing his initial reports that he will represent Pakistan in the World Cup.

It takes around three months to treat this virus, however, according to PCB sources, if the leggie does not experience weakness in the next two weeks, he will be available for the national squad during the World Cup.

According to sources close to Shadab, a few days ago he felt toothache in Rawalpindi, for which he approached a local dentist. It seems like the dentist did not have properly sterilized instruments, from where he got the virus, which attacked his liver. Had 20-year-old consulted a dentistry facility, he might have not caught up the virus.

The management can make any change in the preliminary World Cup squad by May 23rd.

The multi-nation cricketing event will take place from May 30th to July 14th in England and Wales, where Australia will defend their title against nine other oppositions.
