SA head coach hints AB de Villiers inclusion in T20 World Cup if available
Pretoria: South African head coach Mark Boucher has hinted AB de Villiers inclusion in the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia if he is ready to play for the proteas.
Boucher said after the South African team lost the T20I series against England BY 2-1. “De Villiers is in the talks by the media and in the public but had no talk with me, Boucher according to ESPN Cricinfo,”
“I said earlier when I was appointed as the coach, I will go with the best players for the World Cup down under,” he added.
“If he (AB) is in good form and he is ready to go, and he makes himself available for the time we have asked him to be available as he is the best man for the job. Egos should not come forward as we will go to win the competition,” he maintained.
De Villiers, announced his retirement from international cricket in May 2018 has been playing franchise cricket all over the World. The 36-year-old is in the news for his return to competitive cricket last year before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
