West Indies offer ECB to host England’s home Test series in Caribbean

Cricket West Indies (CWI) have offered England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to host England’s home Test series in the Caribbean after all forms of cricket have been postponed in England.

West Indies are scheduled to play three-match series in England but it is looking impossible to play under coronavirus crisis in England.

According to ESPN Cricinfo, the ECB and CWI have held several discussions in the past few days. CWI have also offered to host England’s series against Pakistan, which is due to start on July 30.

“I’ve spoken to Tom Harrison a couple of times in the last few days and assured him that we will be as flexible, supportive and helpful as possible,” Jonny Grave, CWI’s CEO said to the renowned website.

“The ECB would retain all commercial and broadcast rights. This is not about us trying to take advantage of the situation. It’s about the cricket community working together at a difficult time for everyone,” he added.

It must be noted that cricket all over the world has suffered due to recent coronavirus pandemic and the matches are rescheduled or postponed.
