Watch: Somerset County wishes good luck to Azhar, Babar for series against England
Karachi: Somerset County Cricket Club has wished Pakistan’s Test captain Azhar Ali and his deputy Babar Azam, best of luck for series against England.
“Wishing our friends Azhar Ali and Babar Azam all the best in the Test series against England,” Somerset posted on Facebook.
Pakistan will play the first Test against England from today in Manchester. The rest of the two matches will be played in Southampton followed by three matches T20I series.
It must be noted that Azhar has played two seasons for the Somerset. In 2018 he made a big impression and scored over 400 runs in seven County Championship matches with the best of 125. In 2019 was also impressive for Somerset in both red and white ball. His performances led the county to win the One-day cup.
On the other hand, Babar was the highest run-scorer in 2019 Vitality Blast with 578 runs in 13 innings at an average of 52.54. His run tally included a century and four half-centuries.
