WATCH: Babar, Iftikhar others share glimpse of their quarantine period

Christchurch: Members of the Pakistan cricket squad in New Zealand are trying to stay busy in their respective rooms during their hard quarantine period.

The cricketers have started light exercises in their rooms to keep themselves fit ahead of the all-important series.

Captain Babar Azam, Iftikhar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Naseem Shah, Hussain Talat, Imran Butt can be seen doing various exercises. Rohail Nazir and Abid Ali, who are reportedly COVID-19 positive can also be seen in the video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Note, Pakistan squad has not yet received permission from the New Zealand Department of Health for outdoor training after six members tested COVID-19 positive and protocols breaches on the first day of the team’s arrival in the country.

According to the NZ Health Ministry, the team is not allowed to train until the Canterbury DHB medical officer of health is satisfied that any training activities are unlikely to transmit COVID-19.
