Mani, Ramiz reach PM House to meet Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s chairman Ehsan Mani and former Test cricketer Ramiz Raja have reached Prime Minister House to meet the premier, Imran Khan.
Both of them will meet PM Khan separately to discuss the future of Pakistan cricket. Mani’s three-years regime as PCB chairman will end on September 4 and he is reportedly not to get the extension.
Meanwhile, Raja is a strong candidate to become the next PCB chairman. According to the reports, PM Khan will nominate Raja and former Board of Governors (BoG) member Jawad Sajid for the next PCB chairman.
BoG members will give votes to the nominated members and the new chairman will be elected.
It must be noted here that Mani had overthrown Najam Sethi as PCB chairman soon after Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf made government in the country in 2018.
