Nawaz tests COVID-19 positive ahead of ODIs against NZ

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s ODI squad member, Mohammad Nawaz has failed to clear the on-arrival COVID-19 test, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) informed. 

Nawaz has been tested COVID-19 positive and put into isolation. Apart from Nawaz, all other squad members and coaching staff have returned negative in COVID-19 testing.

As per schedule, the squad will be allowed to start training ahead of ODIs tomorrow (Friday).

The New Zealand side will arrive in Islamabad on Saturday (11 September) for three ODIs and five T20Is, which will be played from 17 September to 3 October in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
