Afghan soil should not be used for terrorism in Pakistan: Dr Firdous
ISLAMABAD: Condemning a cross-border terrorist attack in North Waziristan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan here on Wednesday said that Afghan soil should not be used for terrorism in Pakistan, ARY News reported.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan paid rich tribute to military forces and added that Pakistan Army was rendering unmatched sacrifices to defend the motherland.
The special assistant said that fencing was for the safety of people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and urged all the segments of the society to raise voice against those forces who were against the fence.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan summoned Afghan Charge d’ Affaires at Foreign Office (FO) and lodged a strong protest over a cross-border terrorist attack in North Waziristan that resulted in the martyrdom of three Pakistan Army soldiers.
According to a statement issued by the FO, the Afghan Charge d’Affairs was informed that Pakistan strongly protests such provocations which were detrimental to peace and stability along Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The foreign ministry urged the Afghan government to take immediate action against the terrorist elements on their side and ensure effective measures so that such incidents were not repeated in future.
